Distance Learning Master Degree Education

Distance Learning Master Degree Education is not as new and novel as the average person may believe. Hundreds of years ago there were advertisements for distance learning through a form of correspondence learning. Computers and the offensive of the Internet slowly replaced this form of distance learning for a more modern version.

Now, Distance Learning Masters Degree Education refers to the offering of courses and at times entire programs to students all via the Internet.
Distance Learning Master Degree Education is also referred to as Online Learning. While the name is slightly different, the implication is the same. Students are able to attend school while not leaving their home or office.

My sister earned her Bachelor’s Degree in Nursing from a local university. After working for several years in a high-risk pregnancy wing of a hospital, she made the decision to continue her education. Her husband is in film school full time and is not able to work due to the demanding schedule of attending classes and producing independent films. My sister and her husband could not afford for her to quit her job in order to attend a traditional Master’s Degree Program. It was in researching her options for furthering her education that she found a Distance Learning Master Degree Education Program.

My sister now works from home for an insurance company and is able to balance her Distance Learning Master Degree Education Program. She works early mornings, takes a short lunch and then finishes her work by mid afternoon. She then is able to begin working on her Distance Learning Master Degree Education Program until mid evening. For my sister, this is the best of both worlds. She is able to continue working and providing financially for her family, while still furthering her education.
